CSCS Changes to Industry Accreditation

All Industry Accreditation CSCS cards issued from 1st January 2020 will expire on 31st December 2024 and cannot be replaced using Industry Accreditation.

As you may be aware, the Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) has discontinued the Industry Accreditation, also known as Grandfather Rights. Consequently, any CSCS cards issued from January 1, 2020, will expire on December 31, 2024, and cannot be renewed through Industry Accreditation.

Moving forward, candidates must complete a relevant NVQ (National Vocational Qualification) that aligns with their trade or occupation. The NVQ is a lifetime qualification, meaning once it is achieved, you will only need to renew your CSCS card every five years by passing the appropriate level of the touch screen test.
